Even though this was not a school event, it is likely that a school counselor in one of the schools could hold space for a group. Parents should reach out directly to their school counselors.
Schools in King County with a School-based Health Center (SBHC) can provide one-on-one counseling for students or arrange a group if there are several students in the school that might want support. A full list of clinics can be found here. For Seattle students who do not have a SBHC in their building, please try to connect directly with your closest middle or high school clinic and ask about options for support there.
Seattle families can search their school in the SPS Community Partner Platform to see other community-based mental health providers who are also embedded at their school.
Swedish also has a great network of school based mental health therapists in the Issaquah School District.
